Into Manhattan after brunch - visit Carnegie Hall - tickets for the New York Phil on Wednesday night - Barber, Gershwin, Stravinsky - fascinating tour of the hall.
Back down to 14th St - the Apple shop in the meat-packing district - very trendy - dinner in Chelsea - then on to the Metropolitan Room (W 22nd) to see Jamie de Roy and Friends - first New York Cabaret evening - very intimate space - absolutely packed - rather eclectic mix of performers including Stephen Schwartz! - met Scott and Barbara Siegel who run the Town Hall Broadway by the Year Concerts - one next Monday night but we're otherwise engaged - so much to do, so little time! Also met Barry Kleinbort (Jamie's director) and a songwriter is his own right - charming man - hope to meet up again - here we are.....
